In Mae Tang, Chiang Mai, Kanoon, a 55-year-old male elephant is suffering greatly. He spends his days and nights chained up, deprived of food and with only one functioning eye. Unable to be cared for by his owner, Kanoon faces a difficult choice: being sold into the logging industry or finding a way to be saved. The decision was clear, and action was necessary.
On the 15th August 2023 at 10.55pm we reached our rescue fund goal with a total of $ 19,466 | 661,852.05 baht out of the $19,118 USD (650,000 baht) to rescue Kanoon and bring him to Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary – BLES in Sukhothai, where he will be unchained and receive the care he deserves. Your contributions made Kanoon's permanent freedom possible. Providing him with the compassion and security he needs.
